Child Find
This course is intended to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of the definition and purpose of child find and requirements for Local Education Agencies (or LEAs).
The training will address the topics of an overview of child find, the key child find populations, and LEA responsibilities, including: written board policies and special education operating procedures; public awareness programs; coordination activities with other agencies; notification to families; targeted outreach to primary referral sources; special education referral procedures, including screenings; maintenance and reporting of accurate data, and professional development and training for staff.
ARD 101
This virtual workshop will review the requirements of an ARD committee meeting, including membership, participation, and components. Participants will gain an understanding of the different types of ARD committee meetings and the processes for mutual agreement. Learn best practices of a compliant ARD committee meeting and process.

Online Training for Evaluation Staff
Writing Effective Impact Statements for FIEs.
This session will provide guidance for writing compliant and effective impact and need statements related to the student’s disability to create the present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFPs) which lead to development of an appropriate individualized education program (IEP).
REEDs and Reevaluations
A reevaluation must occur at least once every three years unless the parent and the local education agency (LEA) agree that it is unnecessary. A review of existing evaluation data (REED) is part of any reevaluation and is a process to identify what, if any, additional data is needed to determine eligibility and/or programming. Participants will examine regulations related to reevaluations, review the process for conducting a REED, and determine best practices of a comprehensive reevaluation.
Triangulating Data in the FIE- Telling the students full story
Evaluations must be comprehensive and based on a variety of data sources. Participants will learn how to triangulate data (from more than two sources) to verify results. Consistency of findings leads to recommendations for evidence-based interventions and how to progress monitor those interventions.
Dysgraphia in the FIE
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the academic and underlying difficulties associated with dyslexia and develop a comprehensive plan for evaluating dysgraphia within an FIE.
Online training for administrators and campus Leaders
Overview of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support—
After engaging in this course, learners should be able to do the following:

In this course, leaders learn about key elements of ongoing PD to support the implementation of MTSS. Throughout the course, leaders have opportunities to reflect on and outline their own campus’s or district’s PD in each of these areas:
- Annual PD plan
- Initial training and support
- In-class support
- Support in ongoing data use
This course is approved for 3 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours. Assessments of learner achievement of the objectives will include reflection/application activities, knowledge checks, and wrap-up questions. You will complete one lesson module at a time.
MTSS-Relationship with other Programs
In this course, leaders learn how MTSS provides a comprehensive framework to house additional instructional platforms including tutoring and special education services. In addition, key strategies for fostering open communication with parents and caregivers are addressed.
Throughout the course, leaders have opportunities to reflect on and outline their own campus’s/district’s MTSS framework in each of these areas:
- MTSS and tutoring
- MTSS and special education
- MTSS and parent/caregiver communication
